Definition: Jason Wu, born August 23, 1974 in New York City, is an American designer, director, fashion entrepreneur, and philanthropist. In 1996, Jason began his career designing clothes for the Gap Kids brand. In 2004, he opened Jason Wu's first store in Soho, NYC, which was a huge success. In 2005, Jason founded the label Jason Wu with co-founder and fellow designer Chiu Yin Ching. In 2018, Jason announced that he would be leaving his current job as chief executive of Gap Kids. He has designed fashion for a variety of celebrities including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, and many others.
